PricePilot manages bulk pricing tiers, sales, compare-at pricing, and inventory-driven price automation across your BigCommerce catalog. This guide walks through every tab in the app.
Install the app from the BigCommerce App Marketplace, then open it from your control panel under Apps → PricePilot. Every store gets a 14-day free trial with full access to every feature (including Growth-tier features) so you can evaluate everything before choosing a plan.
If multiple people on your team need access, grant it from Settings → User Management → Usersin the BigCommerce control panel — check the box next to PricePilot for each user who needs it. No separate login is required; access is controlled entirely through your BigCommerce store permissions.
The Dashboard tab gives you a snapshot of recent activity and quick links into the other tabs. Use it as your starting point each time you open the app.
Set quantity-based bulk pricing discounts (e.g. "buy 50+, get 15% off") across many products at once.
Choose products three ways:
Add one or more quantity breaks. Each tier has a minimum quantity, an optional maximum (leave blank for "and up"), and a discount type — percent off, fixed amount off, or a fixed price — plus an optional customer group so the tier only applies to a specific group (e.g. wholesale).
Applying tiers replaces any existing bulk pricing rules on the selected products. The previous rules are snapshotted first, so you can always undo from the History tab.
From the product selection screen, "Clear Tiers" removes all bulk pricing rules from the selected products. This is also logged and reversible from History.
Change regular (non-sale) prices in bulk — increase or decrease by a percent or fixed amount, or set a fixed price outright. Optional rounding snaps results to a .99, .95, or .05 ending.
Apply a temporary sale price (percent off, amount off, or fixed price) to selected products. On the Professional and Growth plans, you can schedule a sale to start and end automatically — no need to remember to turn it off.
Set or clear the "compare-at" (strikethrough / was-price) shown next to your regular or sale price — useful for showing perceived value without running an active discount.
Upload a CSV with headers sku, qty_min, qty_max, type, amount. Each product can have multiple rows (one per tier). type is one of percent, price, or fixed.
Upload a CSV with headers sku, sale_price, compare_at_price. Leave a price column blank to leave that field unchanged for a row — a value of 0 is applied literally (BigCommerce's convention for "no active sale" / "not set"), it is not treated as blank. Extra columns (like the name and regular_price columns in the exported file) are ignored automatically, so you can edit and re-upload your export directly.
Download your current bulk pricing tiers or current prices as a CSV — a convenient starting point for bulk edits before re-importing.
View and manage sales and price changes that are scheduled for the future or currently active. Cancel a pending job, or let it apply and expire automatically on the dates you set.
Save a set of tier rules or a sale/price-change configuration as a reusable template so you don't have to rebuild the same pricing structure every time.
Define rules that automatically mark down aging, slow-moving inventory: set an age threshold (last sold more than N days ago, or never sold), a minimum stock level, and a markdown percent. The nightly job applies markdowns to qualifying products and can re-apply on an interval up to a maximum total markdown, so pricing never drops below a floor you control.
The inverse of liquidation: automatically raise prices when stock drops below a threshold you define, up to a maximum markup, and automatically revert the price once the product is restocked.
Get email notifications when products cross thresholds you define — low inventory, stale/unsold inventory, or products that have never sold but are in stock. Each alert rule has its own cooldown so you're not notified repeatedly about the same product.
Every bulk apply, clear, and undo action is logged here with a timestamp and success/failure counts. Use it to review what changed and to restore previous pricing if a change needs to be reversed.

PricePilot has three plans — Starter, Professional, and Growth — billed monthly through BigCommerce's own checkout (no separate payment method needed). You can change plans at any time from the upgrade prompt shown on any gated feature, or from the plan selector in Settings.
